The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has started its admission process for the April 2025 session for both 10th and 12th classes
NIOS admission window allows students to enroll for public examinations held in March-April 2025. The application deadline for this session without a late fee is July 31, 2024. Late admissions are available until September 15, 2024, with additional fees.
To be eligible for 10th grade, students must be at least 14 years old by July 31, 2024, and should have completed Class 8 or be able to self-certify their readiness for secondary education. For 12th-grade admission, students must be at least 15 years old and have passed their 10th-grade exams from a recognized board.
The admission process is entirely online. Applicants must fill out a form, upload required documents (such as proof of age, address, prior qualifications, and a photo), select their preferred subjects, and pay the relevant fees. NIOS charges different fees depending on the gender and category of the applicant, with additional charges for extra subjects. Once the enrollment is confirmed, students receive their enrollment numbers for further tracking of their admission status and exam preparation.
