Yes. NIOS is accepted for admission to AIIMS MBBS, provided you satisfy the required eligibility conditions.
AIIMS admission is now through NEET-UG. NTA states that NEET-UG is the common entrance examination for undergraduate medical education, including AIIMS.
For AIIMS MBBS, the important requirements include:
- Class 12/equivalent qualification from a recognized board
- English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as required subjects
- AIIMS's published MBBS eligibility criteria specify 60% aggregate in English + Physics + Chemistry + Biology for General/OBC, 50% for SC/ST, and 45% for PwBD.
- You must also qualify NEET-UG and obtain a sufficiently high rank for an AIIMS seat.
So, NIOS → NEET → AIIMS is possible
NIOS Class 12 (PCB) → NEET-UG → AIIMS MBBS is a valid pathway, assuming you meet the applicable year's eligibility rules.
One important point: NIOS itself does not guarantee AIIMS admission. Your NEET score/rank and all eligibility requirements determine admission.
